The divorce rate and rearing of children without two parents (associated, on average, as we know with worse outcomes) at least correlates with the latter. Even if this family breakdown is not true for the elites (as in Murray) it is true for many if not the majority. <br /><br />(And if we do separate liberalism from progressivism in this way, doesn't that always beg the troubling question for classic liberals of if liberalism leads inexorably to something like progressivism?
